Making its debut at the 1987 World Touring Car Championships with Schnitzer Motors-port was the BMW M3. It was powered by a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine that produced an impressive 340ps. It was superbly driven by Italian driver Roberto Ravaglia who claimed the Drivers’ Championship at the final race of the 1987 WTCC season
